Some recent cases
Saturday, February 18, 2012
I haven’t posted this for a while, so here’s a couple recent cases I’ve done for some local dentists. I have been doing some more e.max monolithic for posteriors lately and have been quite pleased with the results. In fact, my wife was the grateful recipient of one such crown, and I hope to get a few of my own in the near future.
Here’s a typical PFM I do here. Note the transition in color and translucency/opacity of the porcelain between the porcelain margin anteriorly to the metal margin distally. You can also see the white opaque line at the termination of the ceramic material. This picture shows the optical difference between a porcelain margin and a metal one on the same tooth.
A couple of emax monolithic cases, serving very well. Esthetically the material works well.

Thanks to Dr. Chiaravalli for the photos and clinical expertise.
